1998 - 2006. DNA PRODUCTIONS in Irving, TX. Staff position as character animator. Major projects include:

  • The Ant Bully (Warner Bros. feature, 2006.)
  • Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius (Oscar-nominated Paramount feature, 2001)
  • The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron (Nickelodeon TV series, 2002-2005)
  • Olive, the Other Reindeer (Emmy-nominated Christmas special for Fox-TV, 1999)
  • Other: Story Editor on Santa vs. the Snowman, (TV Christmas special and IMAX film; writer and consultant on scripts for commercials and animated shorts; creator of Sheila, the Gila, a proposed animated series optioned by Dick Clark Productions.

1980 - 1990 and 1994-1998. Freelance traditional animation and commercial art in Dallas. Jobs included character and technical animation, in-betweens, storyboards and production art for animation, title design and graphics for film, poster/logo design and production. Clients included DNA Productions, Peeler-Rose Productions, Bill Stokes Associates (now Post Asylum), Dallas Repertory Theatre.

1982 - 1985. BILL STOKES ASSOCIATES (now POST ASYLUM), in Dallas, TX. Staff position as art department supervisor. Hired, scheduled and managed freelance artists. Designed and created film graphics and title sequences for animated, commercial and industrial films. Created technical animation, assistant character animation and production art for film. Also created background art for animation and film strips.

UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS AT ARLINGTON, Bachelor of Fine Arts in Art, 1980. Specialized study in film production. Psychology minor.

 

Writing Experience

  • Playwriting: 19 produced plays, including nine commissioned works.
  • Script writer for Eight Cylinders, a CD-ROM interactive game designed by Grace Partners, Inc. to enhance positive social skills in adolescents and teenagers. March, 1997.
  • Writer and Editor of CENTERSTAGE, a monthly newsletter of S.T.A.G.E. (Society for Theatrical Artists Guidance and Enhancement), Dallas. January, 1990 - October, 1990 and October, 1985 - January, 1987.
